NC1 Messman

Course Description

This course aims to cover all aspects of mess duties and responsibilities in order for the trainee to be able to function effectively as a Messman on board a vessel.
Every trainee will undergo a progressive program on solid training covering sanitary food handling, maintenance of personal health and mess hall food service procedures good housekeeping and receiving and storing provision and supplies.

Must be physically and mentally fit as per STCW’78, as amended must have taken the BST, PSCRB, MARPOL ANNEXES I-VI
