Course Description

This is a 1-day course that covers the rudiments of food hygiene in a simple and interesting manner. It includes the following topics: food poisoning and contamination, hygiene control, safe food handler, pest control, kitchen design and layout, temperature control, cleaning and disinfection, food hygiene and safety laws,
and food safety hazard analysis system.

This course is designed for catering assistants, messmen and other support personnel working in kitchens or galleys. It is also intended for persons undertaking first line duties in preparing, serving or retailing food.
