Ship Security Officer

Course Description

This Ship Security Officer (SSO) course covers the mandatory competences and the required knowledge, understanding and proficiencies prescribed in Section A-VI/5, Table A-VI/5 of the STCW Code. This requires a total of twenty-four (24) instructional hours to cover the topics.

Entry to the course is open to all officers duly designated as Ship Security Officer (SSO) by the shipping company.
Entry to the course is open to all trainees who are medically fit (valid on PEME format) to enable them to participate in all aspects of the training particularly the practical exercises.
